Meet Sandeep

Sandeep Srivastava is a Plano/Frisco-area small business owner and community advocate running for Texas House District 66. His campaign is built around a simple premise: people living and raising families in Collin County should not feel like state government is something happening to them instead of working for them.

Srivastava is a first-generation immigrant and longtime North Texas resident. He is running as a candidate focused less on party labels and more on outcomes — whether schools are supported, healthcare is accessible, and the state is making life more affordable instead of more fragile.

Why He’s Running

Srivastava is running for District 66 to challenge what he sees as a pattern in Austin: big culture-war politics while everyday problems keep compounding.
He points to public education funding, the state’s uninsured population, and rising insurance costs as issues that hit families directly and cannot be ignored.

“For too long, our district has lacked a representative who listens and acts in the best interest of our families and our future.”

What He’s Focused On

Public Schools: Fund Them, Don’t Undercut Them

Srivastava is running on a public education message that is direct and specific: repeal the voucher program and fully fund neighborhood schools.
He frames school funding as a Collin County issue — not just a statewide talking point — because it shapes families’ futures and the district’s long-term stability.

Healthcare: Close the Coverage Gap

Srivastava supports expanding Medicaid and reducing what he describes as Texas’ massive health insurance gap.
His campaign highlights the scale of the issue — more than 3 million Texans uninsured — and argues that access to healthcare should not depend on luck, job changes, or whether a family can absorb a crisis.

Affordability: Insurance Costs Are Breaking Household Budgets

Srivastava lists home and auto insurance costs as a major driver of financial stress for North Texas families.
His platform includes exploring rate caps and reforms aimed at preventing extreme spikes that are making Texas harder to afford year after year.

“This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about our community — our neighbors, our kids, and the future of District 66.”
