Meet Meagan Tehseldar
Public school educator. Disability rights advocate. Working mom. Democratic candidate for Governor of Texas.
Meagan Tehseldar’s campaign is anything but typical. As a teacher, caregiver, and founder of Love Over Labels Advocacy, Meagan has spent her life fighting for those left behind—families struggling in the special education system, parents who can’t get support, children who need a voice.

Meagan’s story is deeply personal. She’s the mother of a neurodivergent child and knows firsthand how hard Texas families fight for inclusion and support. That experience sparked her founding of Love Over Labels Advocacy, a nonprofit pushing for communication accessibility and more inclusive schools and parks statewide.
With over a decade in Texas classrooms, Meagan has written curriculum, trained teachers, and worked side-by-side with families who stretch every dollar. She’s seen how policies made in Austin too often leave real people behind.

A Platform for All Texans
Meagan believes care is infrastructure. She’s running on:
- Disability rights and inclusive education
- Well-funded public schools and teacher support
- Caregiver recognition and expanded healthcare
- Reproductive freedom and autonomy
- Legalization of THC with common sense regulation
- Immigration reform with dignity
She refuses all corporate PAC money and puts people—especially families and children—at the heart of her campaign.
