Meet Emeka

Emeka is a Melissa-based small business owner, farmer, and real estate developer running for Texas House District 67.

Born in San Diego, California, he spent 16 years living in Nigeria before returning to the United States — an experience he says shaped his views on leadership, opportunity, and the role of government.

He holds a degree in computer science and has built businesses across multiple sectors, including technology, agriculture, and housing.

In addition to developing residential properties in North Texas, he manages a working farm raising cattle, goats, and sheep.

A husband and father of five, Emeka says his personal and professional life has reinforced the importance of stability, accountability, and long-term thinking in public service.

Why He’s Running

Emeka says he decided to run for office out of concern that everyday Texans are increasingly disconnected from their government.

He believes people should feel safe, respected, and confident that their elected officials will stand up for them — not abuse power or operate beyond public accountability.

He also emphasizes accessibility, arguing that representatives should be reachable and responsive when constituents face challenges, rather than distant or insulated from the communities they serve.

“Elected officials are chosen to think critically and act independently — not to pledge blind allegiance to any one person.”

Emeka points to the fact that District 67 has been represented by the same incumbent since 2013 and says the district is ready for a new generation of leadership that reflects its growth and changing needs.

What He’s Focused On

Accountable, Accessible Government

Emeka says government works best when representatives are visible, engaged, and directly accountable to the people they serve — especially during moments when constituents need assistance the most.

Protecting Individual Rights

A core theme of Emeka’s campaign is limiting government overreach and ensuring that residents never feel threatened or diminished by the institutions meant to serve them.

Independent Leadership

Emeka argues that effective leadership requires independence and critical thinking, particularly in a political climate where loyalty to individuals or party agendas can overshadow district-level priorities.

“Strong leadership means making decisions based on what’s right for your district and your community.”
