Eli Worthy

Candidate for Collin County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4

Eli Worthy is 18 years old, an Eagle Scout, and a student at the University of Texas at Dallas studying business administration. He is running as a Democrat and said he will be on the general election ballot (no primary opponent, per candidate).

“A lot of people feel discouraged and feel like they can’t do anything. I want to change that narrative. If the younger people come out to vote, come out to make their voices heard we all can make this country a better place.”

About the Candidate

Worthy’s campaign is about something bigger than one race. It’s about proving that participation matters — and that when people show up, we can improve lives and strengthen our community..

Top Priorities If Elected

  • Youth civic engagement: Worthy’s campaign emphasizes motivating young voters to participate and encouraging more young people to consider running for office.
  • Accessible JP court services: Worthy wants JP court services to be more available and efficient for residents, including expanded interpreter access when needed (such as Spanish and Hindi).
  • Truancy support: Worthy supports a truancy approach focused on connecting students with services and helping them return to school and stay on track toward graduation.

Message to Voters

Worthy describes his campaign as part of a larger push to get people engaged again, particularly younger voters. He says the goal is to replace cynicism with involvement and action.
