The Dallas Stars delivered another strong performance Thursday night, defeating the Calgary Flames 5-2 Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. Goaltender Casey DeSmith stood tall between the pipes, stopping an impressive 46 shots to help the Stars secure their fourth consecutive win.
Roope Hintz and Mikko Rantanen each notched a goal and an assist, while Wyatt Johnston and Mikael Granlund also lit the lamp. Matt Duchene sealed the victory with an empty-netter late in the third period, capping off a well-rounded team effort.

Meanwhile, across the American Airlines Center, the Dallas Mavericks kept their playoff hopes alive with a 101-92 win over the Orlando Magic. Jaden Hardy led the charge off the bench, scoring 22 points and hitting five of six from beyond the arc. Anthony Davis added 15 points and seven boards in a game where the Mavs’ bench outscored Orlando’s reserves 57-19.
With this win, Dallas moves to 36-38, staying just ahead of Phoenix for the final play-in spot in the Western Conference.
