Well, would you look at that—your Texas Rangers actually strung together a winning week of baseball. Yes, that same good ol’ Texas Rangers. The team that’s spent much of this season walking a tightrope between “we’re really a good team, really—trust us” and “oh no, we suck again.”
But last week? They found a groove, took two of three on the road, and came home to sweep the saddest traveling circus in Major League Baseball—the 2025 Chicago White Sox.
Series Recap: June 10–12 @ Minnesota Twins
- June 10: A 16–4 blowout win, featuring a 6-run 8th inning, Wyatt Langford’s solo homer, and a two-run double from Josh Jung.
- June 11: A 6–2 loss as the Twins took early control and never looked back.
- June 12: The Rangers responded with a 16–3 rout to take the series.
They left the Twin Cities with a 2–1 series win and, dare we say, a spark of momentum.
Series Recap: June 13–15 vs. Chicago White Sox
Returning to Globe Life Field, the Rangers handled their business—clean sweep, no drama (well, except for extra innings).
- June 13: A 3–1 win led by a solid bullpen performance. Josh Smith drove in the go-ahead run, and Marcus Semien added insurance late.
- June 14: A walk-off thriller, 5–4 in 11 innings, thanks to Adolis García’s clutch single—his sixth career walk-off.
- June 15: A 2–1 finale win behind rookie Kumar Rocker’s five scoreless innings (and rumored pickle-juice-powered stamina).
Players of the Week
- Kumar Rocker: Five shutout innings in his return from Triple-A. Maybe it was the electrolytes. Maybe it was destiny.
- Adolis García: Walk-off machine. The man just lives for drama—and delivers.
- Josh Smith: Quietly carried the offense early in the series. Spark plug energy and timely hits.
Trending Up
Thanks to a 5–1 week, the Rangers are now sitting at 36–36. That’s .500, and after how the last few weeks have gone, we will just have to take that and see where it goes.
What’s Next?
The Rangers continue their homestand tonight with a series against the Kansas City Royals. After that? Another road trip starting in Pittsburgh.
TL;DR Recap
- Week record: 5–1
- Series wins: 2–1 @ Twins, 3–0 vs White Sox
- Current record: 36–36
- Hot streak: 4 wins in a row
So yes, that was the baseball we’ve been waiting to see all year—Rangers style: big bats, bigger moments, and a sprinkle of good pitching. Monday’s off-day was nice and all—but tonight, it’s back to business vs. KC. If they keep this up, Arlington might just believe in baseball again.
And if you needed one more reason to show up? Tonight is 2023 World Series Final Out Bobblehead Night—the first 20,000 fans score one, thanks to Globe Life. It’s like Christmas, but with fewer carols and more fastballs.
