As a parent of two Princeton ISD students and a local small-business owner, Sam Nevarez is stepping forward to serve on the Board of Trustees with a vision rooted in transparency, accountability, and student-first leadership.

Background
Sam Nevarez is a small-business owner and parent of two Princeton ISD students. Raised by a single mother, he credits those early lessons of hard work, perseverance, and service for shaping his approach to community leadership.
His professional experience spans budgeting, strategy, and team leadership in both business and political settings—skills he says translate directly to responsible growth and transparent governance.
Why He’s Running
“Every child deserves access to a quality education, supported teachers, and a transparent school system. As a parent of two Princeton ISD students, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact board decisions have on families. My goal is to keep resources focused on classrooms, empower parents, and prepare our district for growth while maintaining fairness and accountability.”
Key Priorities
- Direct funds to classrooms first: Manage rapid growth and cash flow carefully so teachers, programs, and students are prioritized.
- Student retention: Strengthen programs, safety, and facilities so families choose Princeton ISD over nearby districts.
- Public–private partnerships: Explore partnerships to help finance new schools and expand innovative programs without overburdening taxpayers.
